Canyons of Night (Arcane Society #12)(Harmony #8)(Looking Glass Trilogy #3) - Jayne Castle One of the best of this author's recent releases, which isn’t saying much. None of her recent books can compare to her wonderful novels of the previous decade. This particular story is solid and well constructed, the descriptions are intriguing, but the characters are not exactly 3-dimentional, and their love develops too easily. Or rather, it doesn’t develop at all: it seems to be already there from the beginning. Nevertheless, the narration flows effortlessly, demanding no emotional involvement from the reader. The book resembles a 3-star TV show – a restful time-killer. I didn't like the cover art though: it bears no relationship to the story.
