Comics not for me

Saga, Volume 1 - Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples

I’m just not a comics’ person. I liked the story, like its amalgam of sci-fi and humor, the real horror of war and the absurdity of the authors’ imagination, but I miss the actual writing. I want to read, I want prose, not just stare at pictures (even though they are nice enough pictures) and scan the occasional comment bubbles.

Not bad overall, and it will fill a box in my summer bingo, but I won’t be reading more of these. I’m not even sure ‘reading’ is the correct term. Maybe ‘watching’ like TV?
